COURIER SUPERVISOR/ TEAM LEADER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Introduction

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Assistant will be responsible for operational management and overall service delivery.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the day to day courier operations.
• Manage activities related to collecting, dispatching, routing and delivery of courier items.
• Overall management and control of service level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators(KPIs) as agreed with customers and identifying areas of improvement and implementing improvement programs.
• Monitor operations and ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures.
• Ensure all Standard Operating procedures (SOPS) are adhered to.
• Ensure operations are run efficiently and cost effectively.
• Plan, organize and manage the work of the subordinate staff to ensure that work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
• Ensure high standard of discipline is maintained by the courier staff.
• Assisting the sale team in developing customer tailored solutions.
• Ensure adequate training of operational crew.
• Ensure subordinate staff are well-motivated and maintain high standard of discipline.
• Ensure statutory and company guidelines are enforced at all times.
• Ensure company properties are protected from any loss or damage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or a Diploma in logistics management.
• Appreciation of a startup environment, ‘roll up sleeves’ attitude.
• Excellent supervisory skills.
• Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
• Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment.
• Experience of 2 to 3 years in the courier industry will be an added advantage.

1. Valid Class BCD Driving License
2. Minimum 5 year’s active experience as a Long distance Driver
3. O levels
4. 3 References
5. 30 years Minimum
6. Clean driving record
7. Strong customer service skills
8. Must possess a positive and professional attitude
